This Orangina ad inspired me to post. I hear that my lack of posting has annoyed many of you. My apologies. Posting will return shortly. But seriously, this spot is both creepy and amazing and worth watching.
It’s flu season. I think I caught mine at the Commodore watching Kevin Drew all but hurl through a phlegmatic set last month. That’s led to two weeks of lying low under the covers waiting for the iPod to sync the new Springsteen tunes. Hence, the tardy monthly report.
But damn it all if I ain’t getting myself up and out to see Ben Harper at the Orpheum Tuesday night. Then Stars at the Commodore on Saturday. There’s also Savoy Brown at the Yale on Sunday. When you’re down, count on the blues to pick you up.
Here are the highlights for the Vancouver music scene for the rest of November (***-I have my tickets; **-If I could afford it, I’d go; *-Give me a freebie and I’m there, and I’ll buy the first round):
