Morning Buzz: Stupid Debates

Good Morning Vancouver. 24 Hours newspaper this morning has a terrible cover story this morning. The debate over Starbucks vs. Tim Hortons is so lame. Nobody in Vancouver should be going to Tim Hortons, and you should feel dirty even walking into Starbucks these days - you have to get your fix obviously, but honestly you have to feel bad about drinking from those fugly Akeelah and the Bee cups. Enough with this, how about some fun links for Friday:

*If they make Ben Affleck play James T. Kirk in the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek, I'm pretty sure the world will collapse on itself. And I think Abrams will jump the shark at some point, given thanks to the Hanso Foundation in the Mission Impossible movie is Tom Cruise-like crazy.

*For no reason whatsoever, Mandy Moore in yellow Simpsons form.

*The only thing worse than the actual Lingerie Bowl, would be a movie starring Jessica Simpson about the Lingerie Bowl.

*Kate Moss does a Nikon commercial. While The Perlorian Brothers Washington Lottery sports are very simple and fun. Meanwhile Applebees tries to go Rat Pack cool and uses Sammy Davis Jr. in a spot. And these be some crazy Converse print ads.

*From the 10th Floor, Lee thinks this Tom Cruise dancing clip is very funny. Or creepy. You decide.
