You have to give it to 24 Hours. They are hustling it on the streets and putting smut on the cover. Hard news be damned, they aren't going to be the next New Yorker anyway. Today they feature Sensitille Pole Dancers who are "heat[ing] things up" at the 5th Annual Taboo Naughty but Nice Sex Show. I know I'm talking about a free daily paper, but this is genuis. In Metro you had a cover all about Safe Injection sites. Who wants to read that? Anyway, the funny thing about featuring these particular pole dancers is that they are infact an ad campaign themselves for Sensitille. So 24 Hours gave a whole cover in hopes of discussing the show, but the reality is that it is a great ad for company selling stuff. Great on the media lift for them, and great on 24 Hours for pimping it out.

24 Hours Loves Pole Dancing

All that hot cover action must have been the reason why on page five there was a terrible McDonald's ad. Now, there is nothing wrong with ads pretending not to be ads. But this ad (View Ad) was supposed to be a post-it note left on content of the paper. But they didn't even try - they had lorem ipsum copy instead. Nice try buddies.
