24 Hours vs The Province: Car Thieves

The Province and 24 Hours face off again with competing covers this morning. Here's the run down:

The Topic: B.C.'s worst car thieves

The Province's take: "You'll Be Amazed" - a sensational headline style. Too bad it doesn't really seem very exciting. Also is it cliched for a news organization to do the "who, what, why, how" sort of thing from Journalism 100?

24 Hours' take: "Dude Where's My Car?" - an amazing full page showing the mugshots of some of the thieves. Bonus points for having Todd Bertuzzi on the cover - he doesn't look out of place with the deadbeats there.

Winner: Clearly the 24 Hours cover wins this time. Not even close. How does The Province get beat at thier own game by a free daily? Ouch.
