Van Blog Notes

Holy Hannah, this is my first post of the day. I must have joined the other 500,000 Canadian slackers who attempted not to go into work after the Super Bowl. The game which I, of course, didn't watch anyway even during a Super Bowl party. So to catch us up, let's go around the horn with some stuff going around the Vancouver blogosphere.

*What about the workers? Beyond Robson has the photograph of the hilarioous coup d'etat of the Hastings Blendz where the workers posted a giant note to the man. Live Journal has the pros and cons.

*Reaction over Stockwell Day's position in the cabinet by Darren Barefoot. "I was relieved that nutty Stockwell Day didn’t get a higher profile position. Mind you, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness has a worryingly Orwellian ring to it, doesn’t it?"

*The sizzling gossip monger Lainey was on Fanny Kiefer's Studio 4 today. Sure we had to deal with 40 minutes of Fanny, Joy MacPhail, and Coleen Christy. Not going to get that 40 minutes back. And really, the show booker should be ashamed of themselves for cramming that much ugly into one show. But then there is Lainey. She must have wanted to shoot herself being next to all that crazy. I thought TV was for good looking people like Lainey. Oh well, Lainey also announced that she is going to be adding ads soon too. But please Lainey, shhhhh darling, don't talk about politics again, k.
