Vancouver Papers: Still Loving The Crack

province-childcrime.jpg
The Province steps up and unloads a morning cover sure to please everyone. The lede story, "Torries Target Child Crime" is about proposed changes to the justice system that would beef up the age of criminal responsibility. Most interesting from an editorial sense is that after 15 paragraphs of the issue and fabulously mustached Justice MinisterRic Toews, we get three paragraphs on Toews views on same sex marriage. Although I would be remiss if I didn't mention the amazingly craptacular back cover Da Vinci Code design rip off for an article on Lion's coach Wally Buono. Cuz, you see, he's Italian so they had to make that totally clear for us.

Yesterday 24 Hours was 1-800-crazy over crack, today they are just "Cashin' in on crack" but also tempting us with their other bigger headline, "Road to recovery". Kind of contradictory, non? And in other news, could they make the food and wine from the Alps any less sexy than in this article?

The Sun talks about the new publisher for the paper (and The Province) Kevin Bent. This guy sounds like a total striped shirt wearing suit. He is also a total brownnosing suck up calling his new home, Vancouver, "the best place to be in Canada." In a move that even the French would love, the security guards at YVR are giving a 72-hour strike notice later this week which could mean a total airport shutdown.

Metro Vancouver gives us an awesome cover of Bill Clinton being total bored by Bill Gates wishing the AIDS conference they were at was really in Montreal so Bill could enjoy more nightlife. But other than that photographic gem you really have to behold the page 12 Social Eyes column by Warren Frey where he cronicles the weeks bikini contests, office hottie contests, swimwear models, and product whoring models.

Regarding Vic Toews marriage opinions./ REAL MEANING OF MARRIAGE.Marriage is for uniting the two human genders which is the complete set not for only uniting one of the two human genders. Secondly for natural procreation and a mom and a dad for and with kids. Thirdly marriage compliments and is meant for strenghting a wife and a husband bond especially when performed in a church. History, naturalism, tradition and Spirituality all confirm marriage is a exclusive male and female union. Oxford Dictionary 3rd Edition of Current English informs-{Marriage is a formal union of a man and a woman, by which they become husband and wife}.Beside allowing homosexual marriage later some three persons compo will also claim for marriage due to equality and rights, marriage would become meaningless in some country's which allow this. Fact is a heterosexual couple and homosexual couple are different science, philosophy and religions know this truth.Homosexuals could have Civil Partnership Unions such as in England now.

Yeah Marriage is sacred that's why my parents divorced, my in laws are divorced, my brother got divorced. But what we need to do is protect Marriage from those crazy gay people because they might get divorced too or commit adultery and otherwise defame such a sacred act.

So glad to see you and your dictionary care so much about stopping a complete strangers happiness. You're an idiot.

So J.,
Are you saying that we shouldn't change the current definition of marriage because the dictionary already went to press?

How exactly does the denial of marriage to homosexuals give meaning to your marriage? Why do you even care?

Most hetero marriages work out fine. Within my family only two did not work out but five marriages did work out good and still going strong. Former talk show host also singer and piano player Mike Douglas whom recently died, he was married to the same woman for sixtyone years.Over 50% of marriages still work out in Canada-world wide that number percentage is much, much higher.
