It's Wednesday January the 4 around 7:32PM and

Vancouver Traffic to Commuters, Drop Dead

Taking transit can be pretty funny. And in no particular order I have some questions about it today.

1. Is it really important for some people to drink pear ciders on the Sea Bus? Honestly rummy.
2. What is the deal with the half-transiting geeks? You know the ones. They put thier bikes on the bus and Sea Bus. Why not just, take the bus instead of the hassle of dragging your bike around town and riding the bus. It just seems wrong. And lazy.
3. How come some bus drivers drive like they are are incompetent. Come on, what's with the harsh "brake stands"?
4. Can we stop encouraging people to take transit? It's just not very fun when you have to see the cider drinkers and such.

Anyway. The real question after this morning's Lion's Gate Bridge shutdown is can you imagine the pandemonium that will grip the city if we have a major crisis in this city? If say a bridge was out indefinetly, or after an earthquake the roads weren't passable. What a nightmare.

And this kind of things isn't helping. "It's just a fact of life in greater Vancouver until our transportation infrastructure catches up with demand," reports CKNW today. In the immoratl words of Han Solo after C-3P0 points out the obvious, " Not entirely stable! I'm glad you're here to tell us these things."
