Canada's Next Top Sears Model?

Canada's Next Top Model is debuting tonight. Not that it sounds like I'll be missing much, OMG thinks that that, "Since the girls are a bit plain (see above photo), that must mean they all total bitches or otherwise crazy." Which is great news. But no Tyra Banks means this will be about as cool as Canadian Idol with Ben Mulroney - a guy that makes Ryan Seacrest seem manly. But I guess hottie Tricia Helfer - she of the Battlestar Galactica show - as host is not a terrible choice.

What's interesting to Vancouver viewers will be that of the 10 finalists, 5 of them are from Vancouver, its suburbs or at least B.C. Then again if they are all just homely looking crazies maybe that isn't such a good thing. We have Alanna, 19, from Kelowna, Natalie, 22, from New West, Sisi, 23, from Richmond, Brandi, 22, from Vancouver, and Ylenia, 23, from Vancouver - her occupation is listed as "background performer". You mean extra right sweetie. You're an extra.

man it was SO ghetto it was AWESOME!! go Canadian TV!!

i see hotter girls walking down the street than half the NOT even attractive girls they picked (and i've ummm like never missed even ONE ANTM)....i prefer natural beauty to needing SHIT LOADS of makeup! and HOW DARE they get rid of the pot smoker first. JERKS!

hm yeah, i agree - you could just put the wait staff of cactus club up on the show and have all them girls beat but there's probably a minimum age eh? :p i'm surprised the show is in victoria right now... will their 'big trip' be to be Spuzzum? HOT.

Hello, I really was looking forward to Canada's Top Model but after seeing the last episode and the preview for the next show I really hope that this will be done on a professional basis and not on a "Bitch Fest" I believe that the USA version is so sucessful because Tyra ensures that the girls behave in a ethical way. I was very impressed that the girl from New Market was reminded to wear clothes.
Please keep the show positive.

funny thing posted by miss604 "put the staff of cactus club on there"....alanna actually worked at cactus club in kelowna before the show.She's pretty much the coolest chick i know and it's lame how everyone else doesn't know what she's really like because if they knew her they would just LOVE her...I told her before she left to "rock all those bitches"(haha)and she obviously did,except for andrea who looks like the corpse bride but whatever.I guess she's got some serious talent to have beaten out alan.(that's what we call alanna back home.or shelly)

Ok whats with Canada copying every show the Americans have? Do we not have enough style and originality to make up an entirely new, never-heard-of canadian show? as 4 the site owners....don't dis Ben Mulroney.....he rox. And whats with those model b****s anyway?!
