Wine Condos?

veranda.jpg
I'm pretty sure this is a bad idea, but let's toss it around for awhile to see. This is the description of Veranda, a new property development:
Imagine the remnants of a winery from years gone by: the crumbled stone, the meandering vines, the history in the air. Picture architecture inspired by that image, with clean, simple lines and natural materials that might once have been erected as part of a family intertwined business and heritage.

Let me get this straight, it's a wine condo? Now they claim this is in "Fleetwood" but that sounds like a fancy word for Central Surrey if I ever heard one - it's off the Fraser Highway at 160th. So I guess that is a wine condo in Central Surrey. Classy! Anything that suggest an "afternoon at the Surrey Sports and Leisure Complex" is barking up the wrong grape. Then again you can get "Mirage" Hardwood Floors which are "not plastic laminate!" Phew, that's a relief!

wouldn't you rather "savour the rhythym of urban village living" in downtown Whalley at the Ininity towers?

Hey there...you know some people need to live in surrey!!
Fleetwood is not central surrey!

That's like calling all of north vancouver "lynnmour". I'm sure the people in Edgemont wouldn't appreciate that either!

yes yes, surrey is comprised of whalley, newton, guildford, fleetwood, panorama ridge, cloverdale, south surrey and many many more places with british and fancy names... it can be rather lovely... just think of some of the silly names some other new developments have... tv towers anyone?
